    What follow-up after the treatment?

Monitoring will be done by your gynecologist, the surgeon and, if necessary, the radiotherapist. The frequency of consultations depends on the severity of the disease, the delay in relation to treatment.

It is based on a systematic clinical examination and additional examinations in the event of a warning sign. In the event of conservative treatment (trachelectomy), monitoring will include a cervico-uterine smear, a pelvic MRI and today HPV tests.
The main objectives of surveillance are to detect possible recurrences of the disease as well as treatment-related adverse effects. It also includes psycho-social care, as well as an assessment of the quality of life of patients, including sexual.

Urinary continence, rectal disorders, sexuality, induced menopause, lymphedema, etc. should not be left out and should benefit from specific support.
